The game of golf has gone from strength to strength in recent years, with an increase in the number of tourists visiting various destinations to play their beloved sport. Golf facilities have been developed in over 200 countries, with 427 courses currently in planning and 269 under construction. In 2013, Belarus and Azerbaijan constructed their first golf facilities which, once again, shows how the game of golf is spreading. At GolfBirdie, we want to showcase golf courses around the world through our revolutionary new app. Our app presents golf courses in a whole new light, making it easy for golf clubs to promote their courses and facilities and for players to get a real understanding of what each course has to offer them.

The Team

Golf Birdie was founded in 2015 by Dean Tobin, Dean Douglas-Evans and John Douglas. Golf Birdie came to life when our passion for golf and our current business prodrone.ie combined to become "Your eye in the sky to the world's top golf courses".

We aim to connect golfers and golf courses all over the world and give the user a unique hole by hole fly over guide. For you as a golf club we provide you with an excellent advertising platform for your club to engage and attract more visitors with our advanced booking system.

Dean Tobin

Co-Founder

After completing an honors law degree, Dean’s ambitious mindset and passion for business, led him in a different direction. Having created a number of companies in recent years, Dean has established himself as a reputable entrepreneur. His innovative attitude and determination toward his work, is indisputable. Dean’s confidence and self-belief is sure to drive GolfBirdie to success.

Dean Douglas-Evans

Co-Founder

Dean has a background in film production and sales, over the course of the past four years he worked for Feld Entertainment travelling around the world with Disney on ice. After setting up a number of small businesses he gained enough confidence to move onto bigger projects. Enthusiastic about taking on new challenges, Dean is ready to push GolfBirdie to it’s highest potential.

John Douglas

Co-Founder

John started in the sales business in 1984 with a multi national company based in Ireland. His job was to hire, train and create the right environment and atmosphere for successful people to develop their potential. In 1997 John set up his own sales company, which has been running very successfully since. Johns motto is ‘You can’t teach what you don’t know and you can’t lead where you wont go’.

Darrell Richmond

Head of GolfBirdie US

Darren brings to the company over three decades of consulting, management, sales and marketing experience. His educational background in Geological Studies at the University of Pittsburgh lead to a highly successful consulting career in the Oil and Gas industries. During the 1980’s, Mr. Richmond consulted for some of the world’s top oil producers that would include the likes of Royal Dutch Shell, Exxon Mobil, Marathon Petroleum, Conoco Phillips, Cities Service and Diamond Shamrock. In the mid1990’s he ventured into real estate industry where he spent 17 years in sales, marketing and management. In 2004 he embarked into the Health and Wellness industry until founding his current company, Sky Camera Aerial Images, LLC.

Bill Marsh

Director of Photography

Bill is a graduated from IUPUI Indiana Purdue University/ Commercial Arts, Drafting and Design. A United States Army Veteran Communication Specialist. Worked in Hollywood in the motion picture industry with some of the biggest names in the industry throughout the 1980’s and 1990’s. Mr. Marsh was directly involved in the production of many major motion pictures, several television series and many popular TV commercials produced during this time. His talents in film production brings to our company and eye for the creative. It’s his vision that creates the unforgettable images that we capture in our work.

Levi Marsh

Flight Engineer/UAV Pilot

Levi is a graduate of WTI School of Computer Engineering and is an accomplished UAV pilot. As the company’s flight engineer, he over see’s all UAV system operations and all FAA maintenance records. As the team’s lead UAV pilot, Levi has logged hundreds of hours in UAV flight time and has participated in NASA’s flight simulator program.
