Watch: Amazing 360 Jet Pack Video of Ha’penny Bridge | Visit Ireland

360 Video Ireland

Check out the Bridges of Ross, Ha’penny Bridge and Powerscourt Waterfall like you’ve never seen them before. Experience the full journey in 360. “360 Video Ireland”

“It’s not every day you look up into the sky and see some random bloke with a jetpack casually whizzing past the birds and building tops

That was the strange sight that met residents in Dublin, Ireland, on Wednesday, though.” Mashable UK

Video shot using a JET PACK!!

Here is how they filmed it! 360 video Ireland….

Mashable tech commented

“The unnamed man in the clip flew along the River Liffey before coming to land on a raft marked with branding for the Samsung Galaxy S7.

The guy who shot the first video, Quentin Doran O’Reilly, is also a Senior Samsung PM, so we’re guessing the jetpack was a stunt to tie in with the launch of their new smartphone Friday.

Still pretty damn cool, though.”

WOW: John Daly’s 13-year-old son – grips it and rips it just like his old man.

He plays of a handicap of 5! Here is what Big John had to say about his son

“He actually has a good swing,” Daly said of his son Friday at the Father-Son Challenge at the Ritz Carlton Grande Lakes, where the two will play together for the first time in the event this weekend. “He’s a five-handicap … He chips and putts it, that’s what’s good.”

Caddie Chronicles | The Unsung Hero’s Movie!

The Caddie Chronicles

Amazing video that powerfully portrays the men behind the bag! Caddie Chronicles Trailer give us a unieque insight into what looks like a moving film! Know thieir story! From tour pro caddies to your local hero’s that make every round more enjoyable!

Eveyone knows that a caddie can make or break your round, and for American’s visiting europe it is one of the things they enjoy most about the day is having a good laugh with a great caddie.

Watch the Caddie Chronicles Trailer below!

Caddies often don’t get enough credit! In the past even when a great player won they would never mention the caddie, which to me is disgracefull! Considering most pro golfers caddied at some stage in their local club. In recent years it has become more popular to thank your caddie which is great.

Over the years I have had the opportunity of meeting some amazing characters playing and watching golf over the years. One who stands out the most is John O’Reilly.

For anyone who has ever had the pleasure of meeting “Reilly” knows that he is the perfect gentleman and an example of a true Irish caddie…..with enough whit to charm anoyone and all the stories in the world.

“John O’Reilly was born in Dublin in 1939 and, after dismissing the idea of becoming an aircraft mechanic, he settled for career as a caddy, “an intrepid, globetrotting, European Tour gold caddy” known, simply, as “Reilly.”

His caddying days began before he was into his teens at the Castle Golf Club in Dublin and then graduated to the European Tour where he had only three main employers throughout his 25 years on the road.

Peter Townsend (seven years) the Dublin-based English player, Des Smyth (14 years) and Pádraig Harrington (four years). During that time he had his greatest hours when Ireland won the Dunhill Cup at St Andrews for the first time in 1988 (with Smyth) and at Kiawah Island when Ireland won the World Cup (with Harrington).” Irish Times.

Here is a story from his book The Life of O’Reilly

New Golf Rule! | No Penalty When Ball Moves On Green

New Golf Rule

New Golf Rule “A Local Rule, effective Jan. 1, will eliminate the penalty when a ball is accidentally moved on the putting green.” USGA This rule will come into effect in 2017. If you want to implment the new local rule it must be adopted by the individual course.

The New Golf Rule even covers accidental kicking of the ball?? Read more below.

Don’t forget to check with the course you are playing to see if the rule is in effect….before you go kicking the ball.

Deatils of the NEW GOLF RULE.

If a Committee wishes to introduce such a Local Rule, the following wording is recommended:

Accidental Movement of a Ball on the Putting Green

Rules 18-218-3 and 20-1 are modified as follows:

When a player’s ball lies on the putting green, there is no penalty if the ball or ball-marker is accidentally moved by the player, his partner, his opponent, or any of their caddies or equipment.

The moved ball or ball-marker must be replaced as provided in Rules 18-2, 18-3 and 20-1.

This Local Rule applies only when the player’s ball or ball-marker lies on the putting green and any movement is accidental.

Note: If it is determined that a player’s ball on the putting green was moved as a result of wind, water or some other natural cause such as the effects of gravity, the ball must be played as it lies from its new location. A ball-marker moved in such circumstances is replaced.”

Augusta National Golf Club

Here is what Rory Mcilroy had to say about Augusta National Golf Club

“Where should I begin with Augusta? Every hole seems to have a personality of its own, and the atmosphere on tournament days adds a dimension unlike any other event. It’s Beauty and the Beast stuff. I said before that I could play the par-5 13th all day. I think I still feel that way. There’s danger left and trouble if you’re too straight. But if you can move the ball right to left, there’s a great chance of making the green in two. And what a green! Unless you’re in close with your approach, two putts is a good result.”

Oakmont Country Club

Introduced in 1903 by designer Henry Fownes, Oakmont Country Club has hosted more combined USGA and PGA championships than any other course in the U.S., including eight United States Opens, five U.S. Amateurs, three PGA Championships, and two U.S. Women’s Opens.

Oakmont CC

Oakmont remains perhaps the most difficult course in North America, with 210 deep bunkers (personified by the Church Pews), hard and slick greens that slope away from the player, and tight fairways requiring the utmost precision. Oakmont was the site of “the greatest round of the 20th century”: Johnny Miller’s final round 63 at the 1973 U.S. Open. Golf Digest ranks Oakmont #5 in its most recent version of America’s Top 100 courses.

The Smurfit Course at The K Club

The best way to describe The Smurfit Course at The K Club is that of an inland links. However, its true attributes do not stop there. The course has many dramatic landscapes with dune type mounding throughout. This assists in making the course into a true Championship Golf Course with many vantage points for spectators to view golf professionals at work.

Charlesland Golf Club

Charlesland is a perfect example of the individual course-designing skills of Ireland’s first and most prolific of golf course architects, Eddie Hackett. Hackett’s trademark was to keep his layouts sensitive to the natural terrain.

Charlesland GC

He didn’t talk so much about designing golf holes as finding them, and he liked to say of his creations “it’s just as nature intended.” There is a consistent style and rhythm to his links that takes its theme from the specific natural surroundings. Nothing seems artificial or imposed.

Springfield GC

Springfield Golf & Country Club is a magnificent semi-private 18-hole golf club located in the south end of Guelph. Often likened to a Floridian style course, Springfield is uniquely challenging to the experienced golfer and yet very playable for the average golfer.
