Mcilroy “I’d be a big advocate for an off season in golf”

At a press conference ahead of this weeks PGA Championship, Mcilroy was asked what he thought of an off season, like in the NFL or Premier League.

He stated that he has thought for a long time that it would be a good idea for players to get a rest and improve on their game. At the same time allowing the sport to create a bit of hype before each up coming season.

“I think one benefit that the NFL has is the exclusivity” in the fact that it is only played for a certain amount of weeks each year and everyone is still talking about it in the down time.

“for the other 30 weeks a year everyone is still talking about it, talking about whats gonna happen next season.”

Do you think this would be good for the game? Have your say below…
