It’s that time of the year again!
Although it doesn’t seem like it with that weather out there.
You’re already wondering where you left your summer golf clothes, your golf WhatsApp group has been set up and now you’re wondering what course to play next.
Whether you are visiting Ireland to play golf, or you just want to play somewhere different this summer. We have got some tips to help you get the most out of the summer golf season.
Get a Lesson
Most people like to get out and play as often as possible, but in reality, you might not have played a lot during the winter. Now is a good time to get a lesson.
But be careful who you choose.
Everyone knows that there is nothing worse than looking at pictures of a place and arriving to find its nothing like the photos that were taken in 1989 haha
Start by downloading the GolfBirdie app so you can browse some of the “Top golf courses” in Ireland and around the world. Watching a HD drone video to see if the course and facilities suit you.
Get the right equipment
Although it may be summer it can be very risky not bringing your rain gear with you at any time of the year in Ireland. It might also be time to upgrade your clubs to the latest technology to keep up with the game.
Know the course before you play
When playing a new course it’s important to plan ahead and get to know the layout. Especially if there is money or pride on the line. View each hole the night before on the GolfBirdie App. Each video has pro tips and local knowledge keeping you one step ahead of the competition.
So you don’t end up like this chap.
Get the best deal
At the moment there are some amazing deals available all around Ireland.
For example, two green fees and a buggy €60 in Charlesland Golf Club, designed by Eddie Hacket. Click here to view offer.
Also buying green fee vouchers is a great option because it doesn’t tie you down to a time and can be used all summer.
